About the Artist
Over three years ago McKenna found herself on a spiritual journey that led her from Boston to the beautiful island of Maui. After much personal reflection she discovered she is one of many people around the world living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While life on Maui is definitely tranquil, she found she needed other ways to bring balance to her anxious mind. McKenna found Mandal Art. Today she has painted on everything from paper mache boxes and cigar boxes to Hawaiian beach stones and snail shells. “Mandala art is a great way for me to relax, relieve stress and do something I love. Each of my hand painted items are unique, and I hope you can find one that speaks to you.”
The Mandala (Sanskrit for “circle” or “completion”) has a long history and is recognized for its deep spiritual meaning and representation of wholeness.
